Abstract:   (96 Views)

Today, the challenges of maintaining and promoting human health in the world and the essential role of urban policy in guiding urban systems that promote mental health are considered in conferences, books, and scientific articles; Therefore, the current research aims to identify the policy areas related to urban design in relation to the three main health risk factors (physical inactivity, unhealthy food environment, and environmental pollution) considering the impact of urban systems on health.

Thus, by searching specific keywords in the Scopus database, articles unrelated to the desired criteria were removed based on titles, abstracts, and main text, respectively, and then the quality of the remaining articles was evaluated using the CASP standard checklist. Finally, for data extraction, a data collection form was designed and the data obtained from this form was used to determine and analyze the relationship between codes, concepts, and categories. Finally, 43 articles were eligible for analysis. After data extraction, 48 codes (policy implementation indicators) in 15 concepts (policy area) and 4 categories (urban design system) which are: movement and access; User and activity; Outdoor; They were physically shortened. The results of the analysis of the findings indicate that the subject of the majority of existing researches is related to the two factors of physical inactivity and environmental pollution and to policy areas in the three systems of urban design such as movement and access (walking and cycling), land use (green space) (food environment) and open space (neighborhood centers) have been assigned. This abundance shows that air pollution, green space, mixed use, and physical activity are important paths that connect urban design, transportation, and public health. Following these two factors, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and depression have shown the strongest relationship with health promotion policies from the perspective of urban design.
